The Gauntlet Is Thrown…

Showdown in Chinatown in conjunction with the Hawaii International Film Festival and The Chinatown Film Project present this month’s film challenge to local filmmakers: to create an original short film 3-7 minutes in length that address the question, "How do you see Honolulu's Chinatown?" All entries are welcome, Films are do September 18th

Topic: “How do you see Honolulu’s Chinatown?”

The top 12 Films will be selected to be screened and judged at the September 19th Showdown In Chinatown.  Our special Judges panel consist’s of ; Chuck Boller [HIFF], Ken Leoung [LOST], Nancy Bulalacao [MOCA]

The top 5 films will be selected and shown at the special October 23rd outdoor Chinatown screening of Hawaii International Film Festival.  Additionally select films will be added to The Chinatown Film Project YouTube channel www.youtube.com/mocanyc, and will travel to the MOCA Museum in New york where films from all around the world are screened at random.

Showdown In Chinatown is Hawaii’s only underground film challenge designed to provide an creative outlet for independent, establish and aspiring filmmakers.
