Trick or Treat? This year, Showdown in Chinatown is donning a costume and candy sack, ready to rock the annual chinatown spookfest Hallowbaloo.
"The 4th Annual HALLOWBALOO Music + Arts Festival presents a kaleidoscope of stimulation as diverse as the 20+ clubs, restaurants, galleries and boutiques that comprise its host neighborhood, the Honolulu Arts District. Entering its fourth year, the festival has already become one of the most anticipated and celebrated events in Hawaii with over 16,000 residents and visitors participating...and that’s just the beginning”. We will be screening the top 12 selected films on a massive blowup screen off Pauahi Street (alongside the Arts at Marks Garage) - between 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Bonus points and props to those teams who come in there film costumes and characters!
This month, the Showdown In Chinatown - Hallowbaloo Edition topic will be 'distributed’ a little differently. On October 18th, one member of each participating team must be at Bar 35 at 8pm to pick their topic out of a our magic witches hat. We will however be announcing the "line of dialogue" at our September 17th Film Challenge Event.
